Tax Extension DeadlineTerms for a call
What this address is, what a free call is not, and how work actually starts.
Pick a timeWho these terms are with
Services on this site are provided by Steven Palmieri, Dallas, Texas. Using this site means you accept what is on this page. What is and is not done here is set out on the disclosures page, and those limits are part of these terms.
What the pages are, and are not
Everything published here is general information for an owner who has a filing date in front of them. It is not advice about your own numbers. Reading it does not make you a client. Rules change and land differently on different facts, so confirm anything that matters for your return before you act on it.
This site is not the tax agency. A sentence here does not bind the agency and does not bind you. A date on a page is the ordinary calendar date. A weekend or a holiday can move the filing day, and the agency page for that year is the one that settles it.
A free call is a conversation
The time offered on the calendar creates no engagement, no ongoing duty, and no obligation on either side. We will say plainly what we see and what an engagement would involve, including when the honest answer is that you do not need one yet, or that the job needs a person who may speak for you.
Work begins only when both of us sign a written engagement that names the scope and the fee. Filing an extension for you is work. It starts when that writing exists, not when a form on this site is sent.
Scope and fees
Every engagement is defined in writing before it starts. Fees are quoted for that scope. Anything outside it is quoted separately before it is done. Either of us may end an engagement in writing. You remain responsible for fees earned to that date, and your records are returned to you.
We do not publish a fee on this address. A number made up for a page would be theatre. The call is where a scope gets a price.
What the work depends on from you
The work is only as good as what it is built on. You are responsible for giving complete records, for the accuracy of what is in your own systems, and for the decisions you make. We will tell you when something does not tie. We will not build an estimate on a month that has not closed, and we will not pretend an open bank feed is a finished set of books.
Original papers stay with you. We work from copies unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
The site itself
The words, layouts, and images on this site belong to the practice that publishes it. You are welcome to read them and to quote a sentence with attribution. You may not republish the site or use it to train a product without written permission.
The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available, and we do not promise it will never be wrong or never be down. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Where this is governed
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Texas. Any dispute belongs in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
